What are the real goals of the Russian "special military operation"?

Of course, all the talk about "denazification" and "demilitarization" is complete nonsense.
It is clear that they want to capture Ukraine partially or completely, but why? What is the benefit?
Obviously, Russia has imperial ambitions and behaves like an empire. Putin even compared himself with Peter I.
Also, he considers the collapse of the USSR to be the biggest tragedy in his life, so maybe the capture of Ukraine is part of his sick plan to restore the USSR?
What do you think?
Especially interesting to hear about the goals of "special operations" from z-russians and other putler fans.
Queen in Kyiv, 2008:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Live_in_Ukraine

It's an epic concert on their "Freedom Square". The concert was about AIDS/HIV, but I think it was viewed by so many, because it meant something more to Ukrainians. There is a certain hope that speaks from it, one that is difficult to describe. A hope that someone living in Russia might be envious of. After watching the concert last year, I felt that the invasion could be about punishing Ukraine for this particular hope. This also explains why what we see looks more like envious rage than reconstruction.
>What are the real goals of the Russian "special military operation"?
What is real goal of Kim Jong-un running tortue prisons for relatives of criminals in North Korea?
What is real goal of Taliban public executions on Islamic tradition of throwing stones until someone is dead?
What was real goal of Hitler?

These all questions are similar becase they are absurd. You cannot put pathology under reasonable modern terms of civilized working human. Putin is not a person, it's group of people with direct pathologies:
1) Radical islamists (Kadyrov and same)
2) Scum criminals (Vagner)
3) Nazi followers (Dmitry Rogozin and sames)

1) Wants to spread Afghanistan all over the World. Basically they want your life and your thoughts to belong to them. They intrinsically demand right to cut head of person in far away country who just fired a book. While their own right to sit in the middle of town saint and must be respected.

2) This group of people apart from killing have many traditions, for example, raping a prisoner, recording it on video and threatening to send video to his friends if prisoner refuse to share information of to work for them. They also want your life and your thoughts to because you can't be neutral. You either can give orders to them or must obey. Any middle ground is considered a threat because they act on instinctive animal level.

3) These don't require additional explanation.

All these groups have common - they have animal hatered for freedom, progress, justice and honesty.
That is probably best answer on goals question.

Additionally, they hide hundreds of worst crimes done in past years (Boris Nemtzov for example) and only way to avoid justice for them is to keep death grasp on power.
Ukraine war is mostly part of that death grasp, probably was expected to be fast win like Georgia war in 2008 with many "popularity" points gained.
Now, of course, things changed and they try to keep grasp using North Korea scenario, trying to zombify people to think that Russia is fighting holy war against world and only way to win it is to unite with holy leader... Very similar to North Koreia holy war against USA.

I think these questions are quite important, supporters of putin should often ask themselves such questions.
