salute to the soldiers of Ukraine!

only facts.

it's entertaining to watch you try to deny the facts. okrainians are so funny when they are caught lying and poking their noses at the facts

and people should salute only the Russian army, and okrainians will throw Sieg Heil salute, lul
@kazanchess If Ukrainians have learned to hate Russians it is because you have invaded them ( twice ), are bombing and shelling their cities, committed numerous war crimes and are now trying to freeze them this winter by attacking civilian infrastructure.

Keep this up and the whole world will look on Russians the same way Germans were looked on in 1945.

It took them about 80 years ( 4 generations ) of demonstrating decent and honorable behavior to overcome that.

Wonder if we will have to break up Russia into pieces the same way for you to learn that lesson.

it is because okraine is a handy toy in a big game against Russia and you betrayed your history and your brotherhood

and now you feel the consequences of your betrayal

Russian history and brotherhood is straight out of the old Nazi ideology about Germans.

No wonder you are trying to do to the Ukraine what Hitler did with Austria.

No wonder okrainians are trying to do to the Donbass what Hitler did with Austria. But Russia came and do what Soviet Union did with Nazis.
I posted about the new documentary coming out that will show exactly who is following in the footsteps of the Nazi's.
There is a guy here who always checks his opponents flag before moving and if it is a russian flag, he aborts the game. One of my friends has a russian flag and a fake description in his profile as a disguise so his opponents can't prepare against his repertoire for otb tournaments,. Recently he got a challenge from this guy, and as expected he aborted the game and sent him DM's with Xenophobic content against him, against Russia and the war.
My friend is not even russian and he is also against the war. He just came here to play chess. We have many russian friends who are also against the war.
We reported this user but he's still doing his thing.
If I have a Mexican flag on my profile, will my opponent think I belong to a drug cartel?
If I have a German flag, will he think I support nazism?
If I have a Cuban flag, will he think I'm comunist?
Having a certain flag in your profile doesn't mean you support someone or something, and receiving this kind of hate DM's from a random person is just... sad.
What do you think about this guy's behaviour?

I think that guy's behavior was Overly Sensitive to kill a chess game over a Flag symbolizing a country, and then shoot messages about it, and the war - which is a serious and major real world event going on, being different than Chess. I'm not against Flags, or online chat. After all, Flags and using online chat are 1st Amd, free speech tools, symbols, imo that represents a country in the world, which people geographically reside in, have citizenship, and many will fight for its right to exist. I think Flags add-value to the game experience, to give a sense that you're playing here, or there, it's like taking a dream vacation there, while you're safely at the comfort of your home - giving a flavor of diversity too, but if they actually don't add-value to the experience (perhaps that should be voted on?). Then, I can see, based on privacy laws, why Google Maps would delete personal information publicly, in their map tool, while using it to find where people are, and where people go. If the Flag information is too personal, and can be abused because of such behavior, then maybe it shouldn't be displayed publically, and be more like Google Maps.

Of course, all conversation is personal. But, how personal does it need to be, before people just aren't having fun with it, because people feel abused, or made themself vulnerable? Ideally, there shouldn't have to be a Movie Threatre Rating on Free Speech, where some people will avoid seeing the show, if it has a certain rating; except that might be the realistic way going about it - so that people can positively handle each other, in a civilized way. Not everyone can handle a Flag, apparently. Not everyone can handle watching something, Rated R either. Also, comments and their "Ratings" can be easily edited, whereas, a Flag can not - so keep that in mind too.
