Well, in all fairness as well, it's honestly quite rare that you will get a three-fold repetition that isn't consecutive, unless it's in an endgame where there is a lot of shuffling back and forth trying to make progress and realizing that no matter how many ways you try to advance, you just end up back at square 1. In the middle game, where repetitions are more common, they generally occur consecutively, as in a perpetual pendulum checking situation.
