I think there should be an option in your preferences to be able to not see your opponents rating or even the previous moves if you want to, the ability to just see the board and names of each player should be there to allow you to focus on your game and not even know if you're playing someone far higher or far lower rated than you, because this can have an impact on how you choose to play the game, as you may think "I'm easily gonna win" or "I'm definitely losing this game".
