Good Books for middlegame and endgame strategy

It depends on what you've read so far. If you've never read a book on middlegame strategy, then I would recommend starting with one that runs through the classical elements chapter by chapter. "Chess Strategy for Club Players" by Herman Grooten is excellent, but if you want something about half as long then "Chess Training for Post-Beginners" by Yaroslav Srokovski is really good.

If you want to study basic endgames, then "100 Endgames You Must Know" by Jesus de la Villa is very nicely designed, and "Essential Chess Endings" by James Howell has really nice explanatory prose and is only about 150 pages long. If you're looking for something more conceptual, about how to approach endgames, then "Endgame Strategy" by Mikhail Shereshevsky is a classic. It was heavily influenced by Dvoretsky's training programs.
So if u were to suggest one based on my strength which one would it be? Cause I am sure each one is beneficila in different aspects @Triangel

Thanks a lot, the options are too good
Mark Dvoretsky's Endgame Manual is probably the best endgame book.
Mastering Opening Strategy and Complete Chess Swindler for Middlegame . Mastering chess strategy (Johann Hellesten) and Positional decision making (Boris Gelfand) are good middlegame books but geared towards 2300+ players . Chess Strategy for club Players is a good alternative for 1600 to 2200 rateds .
For endgame , Van Perlo endgame Tactics is great .

thx for sharing
Many good book recomendations in this thread (but not the "Endgame Manual" by MD, it's to advanced for your level). But since you're asking for strategy books then I would suggest to start with Seirawan's "Winning Chess Strategy" or Stean's "Simple Chess" for the middlegame, and Karsten Müller's "Chess Endgames for Kids" or Jeremy Silman's "Silman's Complete Endgame Course" for the endgame. These endgame books will teach you theoretical endgames, but that's the basics to start with before pure endgame strategy books (i.e. "Endgame Strategy" by Shereshevsky). After that you have the foundation and can pick whatever you want (except the "Endgame Manual" by MD...).
