Berserk in classical tournaments

I just watched an Hourly Classical Arena. The player who came in second played the same number of games as the winner, and defeated the winner, and won all his/her games. The second-place finisher (not me, by the way) did not go berserk, and first place did, and so got more points.

Maybe berserking should be turned off for some classical tournaments?

I don't think it would be so correct: when someone goes berskerk, he/she will have one more point, but half-time, too
The clock is part of a chess game: playing a 10 minutes game is different than playing a 5 min. The second thing is more difficult and it should give more points
