Lichess down = i lose points .WHY? I want them back

I played guppless in 84XsKeXMZIWN , got a wining position ,fine on time with increment, then lichess goes down. I lose 40 points. Why? Atleast if the site goes down make it so the game doesnt count .This is like the 5th time this happens to me . Is there anything i can do? i want my points back. Please reply.

Are you talking about when the site freezes on your move and you have no choice but to watch your time run down? I've had that happen, but I've also gained points from those situations. I kinda rest easy knowing that everyone probably gains/loses the same number of points to site trouble in the long run.
