who is the GOAT of chess

Magnus vs Kasparov vs (maybe) Fischer

I am personally a strong believer of MAGNUS CARLSEN being the GOAT despite recent controversy with him being scared to play nepo. I personally believe that he said he might not be interested to play again right after thrashing nepo showing that he was never really scared but actually bored.
There's no objective way to decide who the GOAT is, it will just be opinions. It is clearly those three you mentioned with Karpov breathing in their neck. But I would say there's no clear number one.
GOAT, undoubtedly, undisputedly is Kasparov.
And after him are Fischer, Lasker, Capablanca, Tal, Petrosian, Keres, Alekhine, Steinitz, Morphy.
Carlsen is nothing in front of them.
Standards have decreased in all sports and games.
As Fisher said when asked that same question, in order to know for sure we would need to have a tournament in which all these chess players have been prepared in the latest theoretical knowledge so that lack of modern preparation isn't a deciding factor.
As for chess playing natural ability, the one who impresses me most is Morphy.
