This is a completely farcical idea for people (and camels, cage fighter et al) to discuss the ridiculous thought that a successful relationship could be built around chess......
Though that is the case....you could certainly screen your suitors by whipping out a travellers chess board on the first date and see how they conduct themselves?

Actually, whipping out a chess board in the middle of a date would show of confidence, humour, and spontaneity, any smart woman(man?) would be intrigued as long as you didn't do it somewhere that would embarrass her(him?).
It would be a hell of a lot more interesting than dinner at a generic restaurant followed by an awkwardly forced hug.

Yeah, imagine how he/she propose his/her partner, pops out a ring with four tiny checkqueres square studs of black and white diamonds, (tiny for fitting the budget as well as for elegance.), and asks, "Will you chess with me, for this life?"

I am no master but I think online dating has serious drawbacks.
