Regium: Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence

The number will grow and grow - and then the project will be cancelled. That's my estimate. We will see.
@csskevin
No, money is scheduled to be transferred on 12 March, and until then supporters can withdraw their contribution.
And there is a decent chance that Kickstarter will cancel the project because of TOS-violation.
I've launched a Kickstarter before and the funds don't get released until AFTER the date the campaign ends. So they won't get the funds released until mid March at the earliest. Therefore plenty of time for the truth to come out.
I hope it cannot be quickened if you reach your goal earlier - i think even if project runs out of all the offered backing up options - otherwise you would be loosing the right to cancelling a pledge and "get your dollars back"
lichess and its members (thus far in conclusion) just shut down a major scam campaign by another company.

This is a powerful achievement indeed.
So, here is the (I think) full list of evidence of shady behavior so far.

-The doctored videos (disputed, but not convincingly)

-Fake employees from thispersondoesnotexist.com, "Alfonso Belcells, who is labeled as a Full Stack Developer for REGIUM, has indicated to Chess.com that he is not associated with the company in any way and has not been associated with them."

-Non-existent company

-Vanished website

- Shutting out dissenting opinions with comment spam on Kickstarter

-Turning off likes and dislikes on Youtube videos and heavily moderating their Youtube and Facebook comments

-Creating a sockpuppet to defend the company on lichess as an "outsider", and apparently one on twitter and chess.com as well.

-Claiming that their boards are compatible with sites who cannot have worked with them, including a defunct site

-Demonstrating their product with boards from a company which denies having worked with Regium

-Claiming handmade pieces, when the pieces are obviously not hand-carved.

-A lot of their features' description seem to be directly copied from DGT.

-The board is too thin for an electromagnetic array

-Refusal to perform a live demonstration

-Threatening legal action over criticism

-An electromagnetic array that would cost at least $8,000/board

-In the original video, capture pieces move to the side of the board, despite Regium saying that they only have electromagnets for the board squares

-Compare the plugs at the board end in the original video with the "classic" board and in the "FAQ" video with the luxury board: two different types of plugs it seems, one is flat, the other round.

Am I missing anything? Ping me and I will edit.
