Most ridiculous features you could charge for

pay for a "shame draw" lol
i was thinking of the following scenario "your in the endgame of a hard thought bullet game, your pawn wins the race and is ready to promote, behold just as your excitement is reaching its highest a box pops up requesting payment information. To your dismay as you hurriedly enter in your card details your time runs out"
#9, you should also understand that competition is one of the most important concepts in capitalism. And you generally can't compete with "free". :)
#9 Everything doesn't cost something. That is fundamentally a problem with your adopted psychology. You posited a fact from the capitalist viewpoint. Sure - there is an exchange in any transaction - but a cost?
Never seen something that is free and worked (lichess may be an exception but it is too early to judge and a chess site is too special..) and capitalism is definitely (with all minuses) superior to any other economy system we have seen on this planet.

But I am here to play chess and not to discuss politics. IMHO if people put in so much effort in a website, they should have a decent compensation for their inpput.

"If you peay peanuts, you get monkeys". Every entrepreneuer knows that.
I happen to be progressing towards a degree in economics, and I'm here to tell you that lichess and other open source software is proof that simplistic principle does not always apply. :P
#15 I'll remind you of that when you get knocked over and as a bystander I give you the 'breath of life'.
There is a rusian gaming site where you can buy a takeback, but not more than 3 times in a game. When I saw that 1st time I was laughing. Also there was bug - if opponent do this 3 times quickly, moving the same - it ended as a draw by repetition.
#15 "and capitalism is definitely (with all minuses) superior to any other economy system we have seen on this planet."

It is indeed a sad world we live in, when (if) a system that gives the richest 1% 45% (and steadily increasing) of the wealth in the world, is the best one we have ever seen
Capitalism definitely was great in the industrial era, and helped to fuel a lot of the advances, but i don't think "economic growth" is sustainable either for us humans, or for the planet for much longer.

I know you said you didn't wanted to discuss politics, and that`s fine. You don't have to respond. I just needed to get this off my chest ;)
About your discussion - everything must be free. We have to decide, how much to pay. But this is not work nowadays, because people not ready yet. This is what system will be in future (in 400 years or so).
