A puzzle I made.

I just barely came up with this puzzle. It's nothing special but it's kind of amusing and tacticians might appreciate it. It's White's move. Find the quickest road to victory.

Interesting puzzle

Shouldnt a puzzle not have the most obvious move for the first two moves. In a two move puzzle.

Nevermind, stockfish did it for me...

TURN OFF STOCKFISH IF YOU WANT TO DO IT YOURSELF!!!!

If you know how to calculate it is pretty obvious. Calculate checks, captures and so on. So I calculated checks and it was the first check I calculated that worked.

I consider myself a fairlygood puzzle solver despite my low rating and I had to think for some minutes. Not bad for a mate in two.

Maybe I am taking this too far. These are the puzzles I am use to solving.



The solution is to take the horse then to play h3 NOT h4.
And eventually give mate on b3.

The next puzzle is this one. Its extremely difficult. I solved it but only after about 30 minutes of moving around on a board.


This puzzle the solution is Kh8. Kf8 loses for white.
