Does it bother you when people don't resign when their position is lost?

<<Does it bother you when people don't resign when their position is lost?>>

Not in the slightest, if they still carry on to play seriously. I was witness to numerous cases where people performed an incredible comeback in a seemingly desperate position, often due to overly passive play by their opponent or plain dumb luck. If they begin to just pointlessly drop pieces or not move at all, I either suspect a child or a sadist at the other end of the line, and that person may expect to land on my 'Blocked' list in the future (not that that would make a real difference to said person, tbh).
@Dunno

You definitely misunderstood me. I was just saying that you have more patience than I do.
I think it depends a lot on the time controls. A Bullet is to fast to let me get annoyed. But in OTB-games it can be annoying if you have to play against a lonesome king.
btw. I resign early, because I have no desire to defend lost positions. Instead, I prefer to offer a rematch. In my opinion that makes more sense.
Recently i said to my opp: "resign finally" and he did! Even on the internet there are dudes with inner size.
SofiKadaj: nah, got you, just meant the guy right above my post. Baffling.
I prefer when they let me mate them :)
Have some fun while you totally dominate the position, promote all your pawns, whatever rocks your boat.
You do not need to give them a rematch if it bothers you.
In my profile it says, I will flag you if you cannot mate me, and I am sure I have tried to flag in hopeless positions many times.
Resign is for quitters :P
If you have have a set ammount of games to play - for instance you're playing a tournament with 7 rounds - then I can understand if you play on a bit longer.
In single games it is obviously more rational to just start a new game. You will simply win more games in shorter time that way.

Besides I'd rather practice playing equal positions than lost ones. But just as there are endgame experts, opening experts, Najdorf experts, attacking experts, etc. anyone has the right to become the new lost position expert.

If the enemy has only a few seconds left, then your position is not hopeless. Time is a big part of the game. I think thats a thing some here forget. Hopeless is K vs KQQ + 10 seconds. Worth to play is KQQ + 1 second. Especially when other pieces standing around on the field. Thats a big difference.

Yeah man but if you have kqq v k and you find it annoying to finish me off then its you ego causing the problem. Of course there are exceptions and for me the only time I would feel insulted/annoyed is if i felt that the opponent was doing it out of spite. Since this is subjective and dependent on my outlook and mood, I prefer to just have fun finishing them off. And if they doing it to you in a tournament they are doing it to others so its an equaliser.
